Hazard Assessment Training

WHAS coverWildfire hazard assessments are a good way for firefighters to get to know their districts, build trust with their public, and gather tons of extremely useful data.  Learning to gather and utilize this data can open up all sorts of educational and outreach options, and funding justification for community mitigation work.

Ask us about setting up a class for your volunteer department or community group.  It runs roughly 2 hours in class, and then we ask that you find a neighborhood in your district that we can go out and assess for another 2 or so hours.  We can also show you how to then take that data and enter it into a database to store and utilize it.  Free GIS resources and data collection resources can be used for this as well as our own database, customized for your needs.
